This is particularly aimed at you if you’re leading a team: even with all that’s going on, stay vigilant to those who most need support. Kitchens don’t always allow for vulnerability, because we all tend to ‘just get on with it, no matter what’ during the busy season.

And sometimes all it takes is seeing them. Acknowledging that they’re showing up with whatever they have.

Even if you can’t really help their situation, never underestimate how much simply being seen can shift a person, chef.
