Focus on the end result

We’re now entering the last few weeks of this marathon. Maybe some of you are feeling the fatigue. You’re counting down the days till the season ends. The days are now beginning to feel endless – even when you’ve done this for 20 years in a row.

Whenever you need to get back on track, the easiest way to do this is to change your state. And you can do this in an instant. Just by shifting your focus when you get sidetracked by thoughts that don’t really help you in any way. For example, if you’re drained with worry about the length of your mise-en-place list, remembering the larger end result of, say, satisfied customers who enjoyed your food helps you instantly rise to a better place.

It’s not an easy to do or remember, but neither is it impossible. Either way, you have to get to the end result of a good service. Why not choose the better route and enjoy the scenery along the way?
