camino-4

You may start out with a disadvantage. By being under-qualified. By being less prepared. Maybe you’ve met with a setback that upset your plans. Whatever your story is, trust that you will get to your destination. And even more importantly, accept your journey for what it is: even for the roadblocks or the fact that it seems longer than everyone else’s. It’s your journey.

I hadn’t rested enough the previous evening, and my walk from Zarautz to Deba was harder than it needed to be. I was feeling very much out of sorts and had to take frequent breaks. Somewhere between feeling annoyed with myself for neglecting my self-care and also feeling annoyed at needing so much self-care (!), I just surrendered. I let go of the ‘should’ and ‘musts’ around what my journey should be like. I trusted that I would get to Deba eventually.
