When we’re going through a challenge, an important part of moving through it comes from reaching out to others for help. Whether it’s a friendly ear that simply listens, or someone with experience of handling a similar situation, or a specialist qualified to support you, being witnessed for what we’re going through helps us immensely. 

In this age of ‘Insta-therapy’, we can get caught in that loop of seeking acknowledgement for our suffering – social media makes it more than accessible.

But at some point we have to gather our strength and take one small action step – because that’s what puts us on the path out of that difficult situation.
