be-honest

Today my invitation to you is to be totally honest with yourself: are you using the poor work-life balance that comes with a kitchen career to stall change in other areas of your life? Those closest to us might be nudging us towards big life decisions, but we’re (literally and figuratively) hanging around the kitchen, long after our shift has ended, so we don’t have to face the possibility of a new reality. I’m speaking from experience – I’ve been there and done that.

We live in a world that celebrates the destination over the journey, so it’s easy to forget that work also has an element of ebb and flow to it.

We should be able to take our feet off the pedal if and when we want to. Because sometimes that’s what’s best for our careers. And frankly, our kitchens, too!

Be honest
