feel-what-shows-up

On Friday when I posted how a setback left me searching for motivation, I was so very touched by your support and the words of all the chefs who reached out in encouragement. We all hold each other in a community and I feel so blessed to be in your presence.

My biggest takeaway from it all was that I needed to give space to the grief I felt over the lost opportunity. We can’t always do that – sometimes we just need to get on with life and work. Sometimes we need to be strong for others. But taking the time to revisit the emotions and giving them some form of expression whenever you can is vital. Letting the tears flow. Confiding in a friend. Asking for help. Or simply letting out a sigh.

Not only does this give you closure, chef, but the energy of those emotions gets resolved and you can channel it into your plan B.
