You might have recognised that stress affects you in negative ways, so you put in the time to learn how to deal with it. But in that split-second moment when you need to respond to a stressful situation, you find it far from easy to apply what you have learned.

You withdraw and take it on yourself, or you might do the opposite – take it out on those around you. Neither of these responses is ideal. Taking the stress on yourself like the better choice, but it still leaves you out of balance. We have glorified the latter choice for far too long in our culture, unfortunately. Because then you have more than one person or perhaps an entire team out of balance.

Is it any wonder that we struggle to unwind after a shift – think of all those moments we spend out of balance in those 12-14 hours!

It does not have to be this way. This is why I want to help you build your Rebalance Toolkit. With the right tools and practices, you can step back and get better at how you deal with stress in the moment.

And the result? How about feeling more grounded for the rest of service, for a start? Or feeling more rested in your downtime? With more energy and being more available for your loved ones?
