confidence-2

Confidence comes not from always being right but from not fearing to be wrong – Peter T. Mcintyre

How much space do you give your team to take risks, chef? How comfortable are they with trying new things, even when they’re not guaranteed results? How much room do you give them to simply be human and not perfect individuals?

The healthy approach is to set clear expectations and standards and support them in meeting your vision. That applies even if you’re leading just one person. The extent to which you empower your staff indicates where your energy is invested: are you leading the company forward, or making sure you retain total control?

It’s in your best interests for your team to grow their confidence levels. But you have to create a safe space for that, chef.
