Would you agree? Isn’t it time for Hospitality to move towards finding solutions to the challenges we face? I normally talk about the individual, because this platform has been set up to help you. But when positive change is made at a collective level, then the impact is so much stronger.
This week I talked about the resistance at that collective level in addressing the systemic causes of stress. The pandemic clearly showed us that the status quo was not serving anyone in the industry. So this is the opportunity to build a new way forward. But it requires us to take a hard look at ourselves, and more importantly, the myths we hold about being a chef.
Will we take this opportunity? If not now, then when? And at what cost?
