grounding

You’ve been there. You’ve gone through those really busy phases where balance is totally out of the question. And you feel scattered with all that’s going on. What I know will help in this situation is first finding something to help you ground yourself, chef.

There are plenty of tactics if you’re into yoga (poses that help you root yourself) or meditation (feeling into the connection between your feet and the ground). But your solution can be as simple as spending time in nature whenever you can. And if that’s not an option, find a ritual that you can embrace – starting your day with a cup of your favourite coffee or a workout that energises you. Taking the same commute into work everyday.

This is the trick: to find anything that gives you a sense of being, amidst all the doing that the kitchen asks of you.
